What does it Milongueros mean?
In Argentina Milongueros are passionate dancers who attend the Milongas and who dance the Milonguero style: a dance style that unites the dancers at the level of the heart.
Do also beginners partecipate to the Milongas?
Beginners too can partecipate to our Milongas. Anyway, there are some behavioural codes, which every true tango teacher should know and teach. It permits to dancers of different levels to dance together harmoniously. Every now and then are organized also Milongas for beginners.
Is it compulsory to be dressed elegantly for the Milongas you organize?
We never thought about to oblige the dancers about getting dressed in an elegant way but it’s quite easy to ascertain that passionate tango women like the elegant dress code. That’s why true and expert milonguero dancers consider a proper act of respect towards women a likewise clothing.
Is it possible to dance “tango figurato” or “tango nuevo” during your Milongas?
“Tango nuevo” and other forms of Tango are dances which are usually performed in theaters and in tourist places. But good dancers like teachers and professional dancers too, who attend the Milongas and dance spectacularly, dance the Milonguero style.
If I come alone and I don’t know anyone, am I going to be invited too?
Well, of course: the Tango we promote and teach encourages the meetings. It’s important to know that in Argentina the Tango is a “baile social”, it means a “social dance”. Therefore it’s not “always performed with the same partner”.
