About Us
Milongueros develops from the experience grown promoting the Argentinean Tango. Since 1998 in Friuli took place the promotion of the first events concerning Argentinean Tango introducing the culture of the Milonga. The prestigious frame of the Giacomelli Villa, situated in a village named Pradamano, right at the doors of the town of Udine, embraces the cultural association also named Villa Giacomelli.
In those days, in this region wasn’t clear the difference between the Argentinean Tango and the Standard Tango (also called European Tango). But thanks to a coherent activity of cultural promotion and to the appreciated didactic of the Argentinean Tango courses, which Villa Giacomelli organized, the number of interested people grown. Good dancers and passionates of the true Argentinean Tango created a great community fond of this dance.
In 2003 the Giacomelli Villa gives life to the project called “Milonga Milonguera”, a wandering project with the goal to present and introduce the setting, the culture and mainly “los codigos” of the authentic argentinean milongas.
Starting from the Giacomelli Villa and reaching other places like Ljubljana, Venezia, Belluno, Firenze etc. it was possible to introduce the true milonga’s settings, which in that period differed from the “improvised” italian milongas.
The “Milonga Milonguera” project captured the attention of the more sensitive communities to the promotion of the true Argentinean Tango in Italy.
In 2008 some learners of the courses organized by Villa Giacomelli rented a space in the center of the town of Trieste. Their strong passion for the Tango permitted them to organize courses and events spreading the most authentic elements regarding that dance.
At the beginning of 2009 this association got in touch with another group of tango-passionates who wanted to start and give life to dance classes in the town of Pordenone.
Today Milongueros is the only concrete reality that organizes courses, Milongas and other events concerning the Argentinean Tango in the towns of Udine, Trieste and Pordenone.
In Argentina the Milongueros are passionate dancers who attend Milongas and who dance the Milonguero style, a way of dance that unites dancers at the level of the heart.
